Hi again. Had a bit of a computer melt down here in Maberga - the only computer in town's fan stopped working. David and I, being the only users of the village computer, and therefore charged with it's general maintainence, took it to a nice man who knows about these things. He squirted it with something which got the fan to go again and told us two things 1. "this is a temperary fix." 2. "promise me you will never buy this brand of computer again." No problem dude - we're going Mac.

So if you'll excuse me now, I'll need to cut this short. The newly squirted fan in the Maberga town computer sounds like a jet airplane is landing in my kitchen (the home of the Maberga town computer) and it's driving me nuts. I'll write again just as soon as my ears have stopped ringing.

Sounds like the power supply going. Is the sound coming from the fan or more internal, such as the hard drive. Mac's have a problem with hard drives going out way too soon so make sure you get a back up device for it.
By the way, Happy Birthway from another virgo.

  2. Go Mac! I've had my Mac for five years and the only problems with it are beer-spill related.

p.s. I've had a back-up for my Mac as well, but as was previously mentioned, I attribute most of my computer problems to an IPA spilling its guts all over my keyboard.

Did you happen to remember that I, Wayne Hadden am the king of fan sales in San Diego.

I have about 400 of these little beauties sitting in my office.

Want one ? Let me know and I'll drop another care package on the
    British Institute!
